The Conference on the Conservation of the Mediterranean Marine Key Habitats took place in Portorož (Slovenia), from the 27 to 31 of October 2014. The event was organised within the framework of the Action Plans’ implementation adopted by the Contracting Parties to the Barcelona Convention. The conference was divided into three consecutive symposia:
the 5th Mediterranean Symposium on Marine Vegetation;
the 2nd Mediterranean Symposium on the Conservation of Coralligenous and Others Calcareous Bio-concretions;
the 1th Mediterranean Symposium on the Conservation of the Dark Habitats.
Dr Greti Lucaroni, of University IUAV of Venice, presented a poster titled “Understanding residents’ perception of marine biodiversity and their attitudes towards biodiversity conservation instruments: the case of the Venetian Tegnùe”, authored by Tonin & Lucaroni, at the 5th Mediterranean Symposium on Marine Vegetation, showing the first results of the focus groups organized in the framework of the project action A1.2.
